Struggling With Acne Breakouts?

Try Venus Versa IPL Dual Light Acne Treatment.

Acne is a common but often frustrating skin condition that can affect your face, chest, back, and shoulders. It’s largely driven by hormones, bacteria on the skin, and excess oil, and can leave behind redness, dark marks, and scars that impact your confidence.

Our Venus Versa Acne Treatment uses a dual blue and red light technology to target both active breakouts and the inflammation that comes with them—helping your skin clear up and stay clearer over time.

BLUE LIGHT KILLS ACNE-CAUSING BACTERIA • RED LIGHT REDUCES INFLAMMATION • NON-INVASIVE, NO DOWNTIME

This treatment can help with:

• Active pimples and breakouts
• Red, inflamed acne lesions
• Oily, congestion-prone skin
• Acne on the face or body
• Early acne scars when combined with Viva™

WHAT IS VENUS VERSA IPL ACNE TREATMENT?

Venus Versa Acne Treatment is a non-invasive IPL (intense pulsed light) solution that targets both the bacteria and inflammation that drive acne breakouts. The AC Dual applicator combines dual blue and red lights to treat active lesions and help prevent future breakouts.

Blue light kills Propionibacterium acnes bacteria in the oil glands, directly reducing your risk of new pimples.
Red pulsed light penetrates deeper to reduce inflammation, support healing, and help regulate excess sebum production.

With a customized treatment plan and, when appropriate, the Viva™ modality for scars, this technology helps produce smoother, clearer, more even-looking skin with minimal discomfort and no downtime.

HOW TO GET STARTED

With Venus Versa Acne Treatment

Book a free in-person consultation visit or virtual consultation call. We’ll review your skin, acne history, current products, and goals, and answer your questions about Venus Versa IPL acne treatment and Viva™ for scars, if needed.
Most patients need a series of 8–10 treatments, typically done twice a week for about a month, with sessions scheduled 3–4 days apart. During your consultation, we’ll determine how many treatments you need and discuss package options and easy financing.
Each visit takes about 15–20 minutes—perfect for a lunch break. You’ll be welcomed, checked-in, and brought to your treatment room. After cleansing your skin and applying gel, we’ll perform the IPL Dual Acne Treatment and then review simple home-care instructions to maximize your results.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered the most frequent questions about Venus Versa Acne Treatment to help you understand how it works and what to expect.

Yes. Venus Versa IPL acne treatment is an effective way to treat acne vulgaris and improve skin clarity. By targeting acne-causing bacteria and inflammation, many people see clearer skin and a noticeable reduction in active breakouts.
Yes, acne treatment is safe and clinically approved when performed as directed. Most clients feel comfortable during and after treatment and can return directly to their daily activities. Side effects are generally minimal when pre- and post-care instructions are followed.
The best candidate is someone who has acne and/or acne-related inflammation on the face or body and is seeking a light-based treatment. For safety reasons, you may not be able to get this treatment if you have metal or other implants in the area, a current or past history of cancer, are pregnant or nursing, have diseases stimulated by light or heat, poorly controlled endocrine disorders, active skin conditions, a history of keloids or unusual wound healing, recent surgery, tattoos in the area, or excessively tanned skin. Your provider will review this with you at consultation.
These acne treatments generally work best for light to medium skin tones. They may still work on darker skin, but there is a higher risk of discoloration because darker skin has more pigment. It’s important to consult with your provider to see if this treatment is appropriate and safe for your skin type.
Yes. Most sessions take about 15–20 minutes, depending on the treatment area, so many patients schedule their visit during a lunch break and return to work right after.
Most patients receive 8–10 treatments. Treatments are usually done twice a week for a month, spaced 3–4 days apart. We’ll customize the exact number and schedule based on your skin and goals.
Make sure your skin is clean and free of lotions, creams, or makeup before your session. Stop using any products that might irritate your skin 2–3 days before, avoid tanning, and remove jewelry around the area being treated. You may also be asked to shave the area beforehand.
The applicator has a built-in cooling feature to keep you comfortable. You may feel some mild discomfort, especially in more sensitive areas like the upper lip, but most patients tolerate treatment well. If needed, the operator can adjust the settings for your comfort.
Your skin may feel warm, like a mild sunburn, and appear slightly red, but this usually subsides quickly. As long as you follow pre- and post-care instructions, you should feel comfortable returning to your normal activities right away.
Longevity of results depends on how severe your acne is and how well you care for your skin afterward. We typically recommend touch-up sessions twice a month at first, then monthly, and then as needed. Once your acne starts to clear, we can gradually increase the time between maintenance treatments based on how your skin responds.
Avoid tanning for at least 2 weeks before and after treatment and wear sunscreen of at least SPF 30. For the first 2 days, avoid hot baths, massages, or any treatment that involves direct contact with the skin in the treated area. If you notice any blisters or scabbing, contact your provider for guidance and follow their instructions for care.
Yes, you can apply makeup immediately after your treatment. We recommend applying sunscreen first and using gentle, non-irritating products to protect your skin.
Acne treatment is $150 per treatment. We usually recommend a series of 8–10 treatments for best results. At your free consultation visit, we’ll determine the exact number of sessions you need, review total cost, and discuss easy financing options available to you. The best way to know your exact pricing is to call 703 299 0707 and schedule a private one-on-one consultation, which typically takes about 15 minutes.
