PAIN RELIEF

WHAT IS MUSCLE-RELATED PAIN RELIEF TREATMENT?

A non-invasive system for the treatment of acute and chronic disorders of the musculoskeletal system, such as muscle spasms, back pain, and soft tissue injuries from sports, overuse, or day-to-day strain. The treatment increases tissue temperature and promotes pain relief, muscle relaxation, improved local blood circulation, and reduced swelling (edema).

Our system uses Venus Heal™ with two ergonomic applicators—Small and Large—and an innovative multi-polar electrode design plus a smart electrode coupling algorithm. These applicators deliver RP3 technology: Multi-Polar Radio Frequency, Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields, and therapeutic mechanical massage for powerful, targeted relief.

HOW TO GET STARTED

With Muscle-Related Pain Relief Treatment

Your journey begins with an in-person or virtual consultation. We’ll review your symptoms, medical history, and the type of soft tissue injury or pain you are experiencing. This helps us confirm that Muscle-Related Pain Relief is appropriate for your condition and identify the best treatment areas and settings for you.
Based on your evaluation, we create a customized plan that outlines how many sessions you may need (typically 4–10), which applicator sizes we’ll use, and how frequently sessions should be scheduled—usually once or twice a week. We’ll also discuss your expectations, timeline, and any other therapies that may complement your treatment.
Each treatment takes about 15–45 minutes depending on the size and number of areas being treated. You’ll feel gentle heat and massage, and may notice relief in pain, muscle spasm, and range of motion even after your first session. We’ll monitor your response, adjust settings if needed, and track your progress over the full series of treatments.
After completing your recommended series, we’ll review your results and discuss any follow-up or maintenance sessions if needed. We’ll also share supportive tips on posture, stretching, activity modification, and lifestyle changes so you can maintain your progress, protect injured areas, and reduce the risk of future flare-ups.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered common questions to help you understand how our Muscle-Related Pain Relief treatments work and what to expect.

RF, PEMF, and massage have each been used individually for many years to treat soft tissue injuries. Our system is the first of its kind to combine all three in a single treatment with an innovative RF delivery system. Using PEMF, the applicator delivers heat energy deep below the skin’s surface in a very targeted, uniform way that other devices cannot match, then adds the healing benefits of massage for a more complete, efficient treatment.
Many patients notice a reduction in pain and muscle spasm and an increase in range of motion after just one treatment. However, these early improvements may fade without completing the full recommended series. Most people need 4–10 sessions, spaced at least 24–48 hours apart when RF is used, to achieve optimal and lasting results based on their injury and treatment parameters.
Your session typically takes 15–45 minutes, depending on your injury and the size of the treatment area. Most patients find the procedure very comfortable. When RF is used, you’ll feel the applicator gradually grow warmer as it glides over the skin, creating a deep heating effect combined with gentle massage. Afterward, many people notice less pain and stiffness and better mobility in the treated area.
As a general guideline, cleanse the skin in the treatment area beforehand so it is free of creams, lotions, or other topical products. Your provider may ask you to remove jewelry near the area. Loose, soft clothing is recommended, since the skin may feel warm afterward and tight clothing could cause irritation. Any additional instructions specific to your treatment will be reviewed with you in advance.
Post-treatment recommendations vary depending on your injury and treatment plan. Your provider will go over any important details and follow-up instructions with you after your first session. If you have questions that may affect your schedule or activities, it’s best to contact our care coordinator for guidance before or after treatment.
Side effects are generally minimal. Most patients experience only warmth and a massaging sensation during treatment. Your provider will review your health history and any potential risks before beginning therapy so you can feel confident moving forward.
For safety reasons, Muscle-Related Pain Relief is not recommended for anyone who:
