Struggling with Small Brown Spots on Your Skin?

Try IPL Skin Rejuvenation Photofacial Treatment.

Have you started noticing small brown spots on your skin? These spots are a form of sun damage and one of the most common signs of premature aging. UV radiation breaks down collagen in your skin, making it weaker and more prone to wrinkling, sagging, and discoloration.

Fortunately, there’s a simple, non-surgical solution to improve your skin tone and restore a more youthful complexion: IPL Skin Rejuvenation – also known as photofacial treatment.

WHAT IS SKIN REJUVENATION – PHOTOFACIAL TREATMENT™?

Skin Rejuvenation – Photofacial Treatment™ is a simple, non-surgical procedure that uses precise bursts of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology. It is FDA-cleared to safely and effectively target pigment beneath the skin’s surface, correcting discoloration and improving the appearance of uneven skin tone.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation helps fade common signs of premature aging, including sun damage, age spots, melasma, rosacea, spider veins, and other vascular lesions. By targeting unwanted pigment and visible blood vessels, this treatment restores a clearer, brighter, and more youthful-looking complexion.

HOW TO GET STARTED

With IPL Skin Rejuvenation – Photofacial Treatment

Start with a complimentary consultation to discuss your concerns, goals, and medical history. We assess your skin, review any conditions that may impact treatment, and determine if IPL Skin Rejuvenation is the best option for you—or recommend alternatives if needed.
Most patients need 3–8 treatments per area, spaced about 4 weeks apart. During your consultation, we’ll explain how many sessions you’re likely to need, review treatment areas, and go over pricing and any package savings or financing options available.
Each IPL session usually takes about 15–20 minutes, making it easy to fit into a lunch break. After cleansing your skin, we perform the treatment and review simple after-care steps. You can go right back to your normal day with no downtime.
To keep your results looking their best, we typically recommend a touch-up session every 3–6 months and daily sun protection with SPF 50+. We’ll also discuss simple lifestyle and skincare habits that help preserve collagen and elastin and support long-term skin health.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered the most frequent questions to help you understand IPL Skin Rejuvenation clearly.

The best candidate has an uneven complexion with discoloration or visible veins. Photo Rejuvenation treatments can also help improve the look of fine lines. Your provider will assess your skin type and concerns to ensure IPL is a good and safe option for you.
Photo Rejuvenation treatments work best for light to medium skin tones. Because IPL targets melanin, darker or very tanned skin has a higher risk of lightening or hyperpigmentation. In those cases, your provider may recommend alternative treatments such as chemical peels instead of IPL.
Absolutely. A single session typically takes about 15–20 minutes, depending on the area being treated, and you can return to your normal schedule immediately afterward.
Yes. Because IPL is absorbed efficiently by red blood cells, it is one of the best treatments for visible blood vessel abnormalities. Many patients use IPL Skin Rejuvenation to dissolve broken capillaries and spider veins and to help treat diffuse redness, such as rosacea.
Most patients receive 3–8 treatments per area. The exact number depends on your skin condition and goals. IPL is unique in its ability to make aged skin cells behave more like younger cells when used regularly over time.
Treatments are typically done about 4 weeks apart to allow your skin time to respond and renew between sessions.
Come with clean skin, free of lotions, creams, or makeup. Stop using any products that might irritate your skin 2–3 days before treatment and avoid tanning, including self-tanners. You may be asked to shave the area and remove any jewelry near the treatment site.
One session usually lasts 15–20 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
Most people describe the sensation as a light snap or flick on the skin—similar to being popped with a rubber band. Some may benefit from a topical numbing cream in more sensitive areas.
The applicator includes a cooling feature to maximize comfort. You may feel mild discomfort in sensitive areas like the upper lip, but if it is too intense, the operator can adjust the settings. Most patients tolerate treatment very well.
Your skin may feel warm, like a mild sunburn, and can remain pink for a few hours up to a day. When pre- and post-care instructions are followed, IPL reaches the deeper dermis without causing excessive swelling, redness, or lasting irritation. It is less invasive than many other light-based treatments.
Longevity of results depends on your skin and how you care for it after treatment. Protecting your skin from the sun will help results last longer. One touch-up session every 3–6 months is often recommended to maintain your improvements.
There is no downtime. You can return to your regular daily activities immediately following treatment, making IPL a convenient option compared to deeper resurfacing procedures.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) in the weeks before and after treatment. Use SPF 50+ daily, keep your weight stable, and avoid smoking and excessive alcohol. For the first 2 days, avoid hot baths, massages, or treatments that involve direct contact with the treated skin.
Yes. You can apply makeup immediately after treatment—just be sure to apply sunscreen first. Most people return to work within 24–48 hours. Any side effects are usually limited to very mild redness and sensitivity.
Each IPL Skin Rejuvenation treatment is approximately $299 per area, with 6 treatments commonly recommended depending on your goals. When you purchase a package based on your recommended plan, special discounts are available in the office. The best way to get exact pricing is to call 703 299 0707 and schedule a private skin assessment.
