TREATMENT OVERVIEW

Skin resurfacing treatments are designed to improve skin texture, tone, firmness, and overall skin quality by stimulating the body’s natural collagen and elastin production. At Weight Loss & Skin Center, we offer multiple advanced skin resurfacing technologies to safely and effectively address a wide range of skin concerns across different skin types and downtime preferences.
We choose the appropriate skin resurfacing treatment depends on skin type, pigmentation risk, concern severity, and downtime tolerance.

All patients receive a personalized consultation and skin analysis prior to treatment. All treatments are performed under medical supervision using FDA-cleared devices, evidence-based protocols, and personalized treatment planning to ensure safety, precision, and optimal clinical outcomes.

OUR FRACTIONAL CO₂ LASER RESURFACING

An advanced medical-grade laser resurfacing treatment that delivers controlled fractional CO₂ laser energy into the deeper layers of the skin. Microscopic thermal zones trigger collagen remodeling while preserving surrounding tissue for faster recovery.

Ideal for patients who:

  • Want dramatic resurfacing results

  • Have deeper wrinkles or significant scarring, sun damage, acne scars, texture irregularities

  • Can tolerate controlled downtime

Downtime: Moderate

Technology: FDA-cleared CO₂ laser

Best for: Fitzpatrick I–III (Selected IV with caution)

Why: Light-based laser energy carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) in darker skin tones.

Not ideal for:

  • Fitzpatrick V–VI

  • Patients prone to melasma or PIH without strict protocols

$799 PER TREATMENT

RF NANO FRACTIONAL (VENUS VIVA™ – VENUS CONCEPT)

RF MICRONEEDLING

Combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered at controlled depths to stimulate deep collagen remodeling. Improves skin firmness, texture, and elasticity more effectively than microneedling alone.

Ideal for patients who:

  • Have skin laxity, early sagging, acne scars, stretch marks, or texture concerns

  • Want collagen remodeling

  • Have medium to dark skin tones

  • Want non-surgical eyelid, fine lines, or localized skin laxity

  • Have mild to moderate skin laxity

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve answered the most frequent questions to help you understand our treatments clearly.

Before treatment, patients are advised to:
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning (natural or artificial) for at least 2 weeks
  • Discontinue retinol, tretinoin, AHA/BHA acids, and exfoliating products 5–7 days prior
  • Avoid waxing, threading, or chemical peels in the treatment area
  • Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, and medical conditions
  • Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotion, or sunscreen
Your provider will review your medical history and provide personalized pretreatment instructions during consultation.
Most routine medications may be continued. However, blood thinning medications, isotretinoin (Accutane), or certain supplements may require special consideration. Always disclose all medications and supplements to your provider prior to treatment.
After treatment, it is normal to experience:
  • Redness and warmth like a sunburn
  • Mild swelling or tightness
  • Sensitivity in the treated area
These effects are temporary and part of the normal healing response.
Posttreatment care typically includes:
  • Gentle cleansing with a mild, nonactive cleanser
  • Applying recommended soothing or healing products
  • Avoiding heat, strenuous exercise, and sweating for 24–48 hours
  • Not picking, scratching, or exfoliating treated skin
  • Following all provider recommended aftercare instructions
Makeup can usually be applied after 48–72 hours, once the skin barrier has sufficiently recovered or 7 days after the flaking are off. Mineral makeup is often recommended initially.
Yes. Strict sun protection is essential. Patients should:
  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50 or higher)
  • Wear hats or protective clothing when outdoors
  • Avoid direct sun exposure during the healing phase
Sun protection helps prevent pigmentation changes and supports optimal results.
Light flaking or peeling may occur as the skin renews itself. This is normal. Do not pick or force exfoliation, as this may increase the risk of irritation or scarring.
Active skincare products such as retinoids, acids, and exfoliants should only be resumed once approved by your provider—typically after the skin has fully healed, usually within 7–10 days.
Most patients return to normal daily activities within 24–48 hours. Downtime varies depending on treatment intensity and individual healing response.
Contact Weight Loss & Skin Center if you experience:
  • Severe pain or swelling
  • Signs of infection (pus, fever, worsening redness)
  • Unusual blistering or delayed healing
Our medical team is available to support you throughout your recovery process.
